Book An Event With Us

 
 

We are open to booking events.

We are able to travel to your off-site event, and we can host events in-store.

Venue Information

We close at 6pm every day, and our closing duties usually take us until 6:15pm, so a start time of 7pm would give us ample time to set up. Our seated capacity is 40 people. We have folding chairs that can support up to 500lbs and we have an accessible single-stall washroom. Our front door is wheelchair accessible but not automatic. Please include any accessibility needs— including but not limited to allergies or communicable disease prevention— in your message to us so we can meet them.

Tech

We have two Bluetooth microphones and an amplifier available for use. Any additional tech support would need to be provided by you / the publisher.

Promotion

If you provide us with assets (a high-resolution authors' photo and book cover), we will promote the event on our social media, newsletter, and calendar. In our experience, we have found that events are most well-attended when authors also do significant promotion through their own networks. We will do our absolute best to promote through our channels, but we believe the most effective way to attract audiences is for authors to mobilize their personal connections and fanbases!

Stock

We like to order book quantities about four weeks ahead of an event to ensure that they arrive on time. If you can send an estimated number of attendees, that would be wonderful. We recognize it can be challenging to get a sense of numbers ahead of events, but even a ballpark range would be very helpful!

Recording for our Events Archive

We try to record the audio of our events so we can make the content accessible to those who aren't able to make the event in person. We upload them to YouTube, and feature them in our Event Archive. If you are alright with it, we would love to record the audio of the event. We provide a mic and amp, and only ask that authors make sure they introduce themselves by name at the start and end of their talk or discussion, and we will provide pointers for holding the mic properly so we capture everything! If you are not interested in participating in the recording aspect, that is 100% OK.
